Optociliary Shunt

• Acquired disc collateral between the retinal and the ciliary circulations.
• May present as an important finding of optic nerve sheat meningioma.
• Commonly develop as a complication of central retinal vein occlusion.

Sign

• Tortuous vascular loops that start and end on the disc
• Can be distinguished from disc neovascularization by their:
  • Larger caliber
  • Lack of leakage in fluorescein angiogram
