Virginia Apgar Academy of Medical Educators

The Virginia A. Apgar Academy for Medical Educators announced the newly inducted 2022 members. Seventeen clinicians were selected, and one of them is our very own Dr. Laurel Daniels. Abbruzzese, PT, EdD, FNAP. The Virginia Apgar Academy is a community of educators at VP&S dedicated to promoting, rewarding, and supporting outstanding education for its CUIMC students, residents, fellows, and faculty. Membership in the Academy is held in high regard.

Dr. Abbruzzese currently teaches Clinical Geriatrics, Kinesiology & Biomechanics II, and Professional Leadership & Practice I and II. She has over twenty-five years of clinical experience in physical therapy and 15 years as an educator. Dr. Abbruzzese has also been one of the leading forces in our Social Justice initiative, serving as a FIERCE advocate.
