Class of 2023 White Coat Ceremony

The White Coat Ceremony began at Columbia University in 1993; this collaboration with the Arnold P. Gold Foundation has since become a tradition. It is considered a rite of passage for medical students. The Gold Foundation was formed in 1988 with the power of an idea to nurture and preserve the tradition of the caring physician. The Programs in Physical Therapy were thrilled to host its White Coat Ceremony in-person this year. The Class of 2023 was this year’s white coat recipients.

Family and friends participated through zoom, however our entire faculty was in attendance. The students donned their white coats and were presented with their nametag as well as an Arnold P. Gold pin. The entire class then recited the physical therapy code of ethics; please find photos from the event below as well as the program.
