Pastoral Care
Pastoral care is available to medical students through the services provided by staff at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center campus and by the Office of the University Chaplain at Columbia's Morningside campus.
Pastoral Care at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital
The Pauline A. Hartford Memorial Chapel at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is non-denominational and open 24/7. Inside the chapel is a Muslim prayer room located on the right-hand side of the altar. The chapel is accessible to medical students and employees through the hospital's garden on Fort Washington Avenue and down the stairwell on the right. The Washington Heights community may access the chapel at the entrance on 622 W. 168th Street. For more information, visit:
Pastoral Care at Columbia University
University Chaplain Jewelnel Davis collaborates with schools across Columbia University to promote interfaith and intercultural awareness. Medical students may access pastoral care services through her office based at the Morningside campus. For more information, visit:
