Earning an MS in Genetic Counseling is a significant investment of your time, focus and resources. We validate that choice by delivering exceptional program outcomes. Our past student data consistently demonstrates that our graduates achieve high ABGC Board exam pass rates and secure competitive, specialized positions across clinical, research and industry settings.

Employment

Our alumni are employed at a variety of leading medical centers and genetics/genomics companies and organizations. Most have roles that offer a combination of clinical, research, and/or teaching responsibilities. They are actively contributing to shaping the future of genetic counseling practice and our profession.

For graduates from the classes of 2024-2026:

  • 82.4% (28/34) are currently working in genetic counseling
  • 52.9% (18/34) secured their first job within 3 months of graduating

For all graduates from our program:

  • 91.4% (64/70) are curently working in genetic counseling
  • 74.3% (52/70) secured their first job within 3 months of graduating

ABGC Board Exam

We provide the rigorous academic foundation and clinical mentorship needed to confidently approach the next step in your career. Our graduates' exceptional pass rates on the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification exam stand as a testament to our robust curriculum and dedicated faculty support. 

For graduates from the classes of 2024-2026:

  • 97.1% (33/34) have passed the ABGC exam
  • 97.1% (33/34) passed on their first attempt

For all graduates from our program:

  • 98.6% (69/70) have passed the ABGC exam
  • 88.6% (62/70) passed on their first attempt

We are committed to providing the resources, clear pathways, and individual academic advising necessary for every student to thrive. Our consistently high on-time graduation rates reflect a supportive learning environment designed to help you transition smoothly and predictably from the classroom to your career.

For student matriculating into the classes of 2024-2026:

  • 100% (34/34) of students completing the program graduated on time
  • 94.4% (34/36) of enrolled students have completed the program to date

For all student matriculating into our program:

  • 100% (70/70) of students completing the program graduated on time
  • 93.3% (70/75) of enrolled students have completed the program to date
