Columbia University GC Consortium

The Columbia University Genetic Counselor (GC) Consortium is an independent network of Columbia University GCs committed to fostering professional development and promoting an environment of awareness of the practice and profession of genetic counseling within the New York-Presbyterian (NYP)/Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) community. 

The primary goals of the GC Consortium include:

  • Support and promote the professional interests of Columbia University GCs, including licensure, salary equity, and advancement opportunities
  • Increase awareness about the profession of genetic counseling at CUIMC
  • Provide a forum for Columbia University GCs to network and engage 
  • Cultivate a sense of community among Columbia University GCs
