Each May, commencement ceremonies are held at Columbia's Morningside campus and at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

The 2027 Commencement schedule has not been officially released, but is expected to follow a similar structure to previous years, with University-wide and school-specific ceremonies in late May.

Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons Graduation Ceremony

Our medical student degrees will be conferred in May 2027 (exact date tbd). 

Ceremony details are below:

  • Event Details: The Armory, 216 Fort Washington Avenue 

At our ceremony, awards will be displayed to graduating students and faculty, and the graduating class will present a distinguished teacher award.  Students again recite the Class Oath at the culmination of their medical school education.
