Cara H. Kanner, PT, DPT, EdD
Cara Kanner is an associate faculty and research physical therapist in the Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine. Cara is board-certified in pediatric physical therapy and is working towards her terminal EdD degree in movement sciences. Cara’s research interests include neuromuscular disorders and rare diseases. Cara loves helping children achieve new milestones.

Carly Mueller, PT, DPT
Carly Mueller is a research physical therapist and clinical evaluator at the Pediatric Neuromuscular Clinic/SMA Clinical Research Center within the Department of Neurology. Carly is board-certified in pediatric physical therapy and has a background in outpatient rehabilitation care for children ages 0- 21. She has an interest in aquatic physical therapy and early childhood development, particularly for individuals with neuromuscular and other rare genetic disorders. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys traveling and recreational running.

Rafael Rodriguez-Torres, PT, DPT
Ralph Rodriguez Torres is a research physical therapist and the lead clinical evaluator at the Pediatric Neuromuscular Clinic/SMA Clinical Research Center within the Department of Neurology. Currently pursuing a PhD in Applied (Exercise) Physiology, his research is centered on enhancing the assessment and gaining deeper insights into physical fatigability in individuals with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). Beyond his academic pursuits, Ralph also enjoys marathon running.
