The Danny H.-Kauffmann Jokl, MD Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowship at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is a 1–2-year program designed to provide comprehensive subspecialty training in clinical neuro-ophthalmology and research experience. The fellowship activities are centered at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute while taking advantage of the Presbyterian Hospital and the New York Neurologic Institute on our campus as well as resources on our undergraduate campus.
Curriculum Highlights
Columbia Ophthalmology’s Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowship offers extensive exposure to all branches of neuro-ophthalmology including work-up for loss of vision, double vision, ophthalmologic findings in neurologic and all systemic diseases, drug toxicity and evaluation of brain tumor patients. The fellowship also includes collaboration with Departments of neurosurgery and neurology utilizing different modalities such as visual fields, OCT and multifocal electrophysiology. We will also have weekly meetings with neuroradiology reviewing MRI and CT scans of our patients. The program is under the preceptorship of Drs. Jeffrey Odel and Meital Ben-Dov.
