Dr. Spencer arrived on Nisqually tribal lands west of Olympia, Washington, in 2008 to serve as the sole family practitioner in the reservation's five-room clinic.

The U.S. Public Health Service brought Dr. Hamilton to South Carolina, where he created one of the nation's top community health center systems serving low-income patients.

Dr. Spiegel, a psychiatrist, spearheaded his class’s fundraising for student scholarships and for the lounge at 50 Haven Avenue, which bears the name of the Class of 1970.

Dr. Rose helped pioneer pediatric heart transplantation at Columbia, which has one of the pre-eminent heart transplant programs in the world.
