The Research Working Group fosters an AI research community at VP&S that spans departments, disciplines, and career stages and advances the scientific foundations of AI in biomedicine, health, and healthcare.
The Research Working Group brings researchers from across VP&S together to share ongoing work, exchange ideas, and build connections across departments, disciplines, and career stages. The AI at VP&S Research Forum is one such venue, a monthly scientific series that highlights emerging methods and culminates in an Annual Research Meeting that showcases projects from across VP&S.
The group also helps surface the needs of AI researchers and scientists who use AI. These insights inform how computational resources and research infrastructure can be coordinated to scale research. Through this work, the Working Group helps establish the standards for rigorous, responsible, and safe AI research in an academic medical center.
