Resources for Research Seminars

The Resources for Research seminar series was started in 2020 to promote awareness of the advanced scientific instruments and research services provided by Core Facilities at VP&S. These seminars, led by faculty directors of the cores, highlight the technologies offered by core facilities with a specific emphasis on how they have been used to enable labs to incorporate the latest specialized and cutting-edge techniques into their projects.

Hosted by the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, these seminars are especially targeted toward students, postdoctoral trainees, and faculty who are new to Columbia. However, they should be relevant for anyone who is unfamiliar with the services of a core or looking to see how new advances in a technology may be able to accelerate their research.

2021 Seminar Series

The current seminar series is being held weekly on Tuesdays over Zoom, and includes "office hours" for users who are new to the shared resources to discuss their individual projects.
