Governing Bodies

The Faculty of the Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons Bylaws define the roles and responsibilities of key faculty governance bodies, which include:

  • The Faculty of Medicine Faculty Council: Elected representatives from each department at VP&S who advise leadership and approve committee members.
    • The Faculty Council also provides input on institutional policies and advises the Executive Vice President for Health and Biomedical Sciences and the Dean of the Faculties of Health Sciences and Medicine.
  • Executive Committee for Faculty Council: Oversees the Faculty of Medicine Faculty Council operations.
  • Faculty Council Members: Governance representing all clinical and basic science departments at VP&S.
