Pete Stetson Virtual Seminar: Responsible AI Governance in Oncology

May 7 • 1-2 pm • Virtual Only

Pete Stetson, Chief Health Informatics Officer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, will provide a virtual presentation (Zoom) on responsible AI governance in oncology that is open to everybody. AI is disrupting healthcare, and oncology care is no exception. Although generic AI development and implementation frameworks exist in healthcare, no effective governance models have been reported in oncology. This talk will report on a Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Responsible AI governance model for clinical, operations, and research programs, including the one-year AI Governance Committee results registering, evaluating, and monitoring 26 AI models (including large language models), 2 ambient AI pilots, and a review of 33 nomograms. To the best of our knowledge, this is one of the first reports on Responsible AI governance at scale in oncology.
