Henry Kronenberg '70: Gold Medal for Outstanding Achievements in Medical Research

Dr. Henry Kronenberg '70 was presented with the Gold Medal Award for Outstanding Achievements in Medical Research at the VP&S Alumni Reunion on April 19, 2024, in New York City.

Dr. Kronenberg is chief of the Endocrine Unit at the Massachusetts General Hospital and professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. He leads a research group that studies the actions of parathyroid hormone and parathyroid hormone-related protein, particularly emphasizing bone development, bone biology, calcium homeostasis, and the roles of osteoblast-lineage cells in hematopoiesis.

Each year, during the VP&S Alumni Reunion Weekend, alumni receive Gold Medal awards for distinguished service and achievements in clinical and academic medicine. Medalists are nominated or self-nominated and chosen by a committee of their peers. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis. Learn more.
