Hospitalists

The Allen Hospitalist team comprises compassionate, skilled, and collaborative professionals who are deeply committed to clinical excellence and academic mentorship.

Our inpatient care is delivered by rounding teams, each comprising:

  • A primary attending physician
  • A primary physician assistant (PA)
  • Sub-interns from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons

To ensure a seamless admission process, we dedicate a physician and PA team to serve as the primary point of contact for new patients, most of whom will arrive through the Allen Hospital Emergency Department. Beyond general inpatient care, we also serve as consultants to non-medical services, including surgery and psychiatry, and as co-managers of patients recovering from spine surgeries at Och Spine Hospital, located on our campus. In addition, we have a unique opportunity for those with a passion for and skills in critical care to staff our ICU at night, serving in both the primary admitter and ICU triage roles alongside a Columbia intern and a critical care PA.
