Meet the Director
Dusan Bogunovic, PhD, is the director of the Center for Genetic Errors of Immunity, Professor of Pediatric Immunology, and Vice Chair for Basic Research in Pediatrics at Columbia University. A recognized scientist in human immunogenetics, he studies how genetic differences influence the body’s response to infections, inflammation, and autoimmune disease. His research has uncovered rare immune disorders, revealed new mechanisms of human immunity, and helped identify treatments for patients with previously unexplained conditions.
As director, Dr. Bogunovic brings scientists and clinicians together to turn discoveries made in the laboratory into more precise diagnoses, innovative therapies, and better outcomes for patients.
