Varmus Global Scholars

Through the generosity of Dr. Harold Varmus (P&S ’66), Nobel Prize recipient, and his wife, Ms. Constance Casey, Columbia established in 2019 the endowed Harold Varmus MD P&S ’66 Global Scholars Fund.

The Fund provides stipends for exceptional Columbia medical students wishing to pursue a transformative experience through global health research projects for eight weeks to a year, through the various Student Research Programs.
