Michael Gevertzman, PT, DPT, NCS

Overview

Dr. Michael Gevertzman is an Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine (Physical Therapy). He received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Sports Studies at Rutgers University, and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with his research focusing on the interplay between mobility and cognitive functions in Parkinson's disease. His research has been presented at national and international conferences. Clinically, Dr. Gevertzman's focus is in working with the individuals who have neurologic disorders, especially those with neurodegenerative diseases. He is a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist (ABPTS) and a Multiple Sclerosis Certified Specialist (CMSC). He also holds additional certificates in LSVT BIG for Parkinson's disease (LSVT Global), and Vestibular Rehabilitation (APTA & Duke University). He is passionate about the importance of interdisciplinary patient care, and works as a clinician in the Multiple Sclerosis Interdisciplinary Wellness Clinical at CUIMC.
