Overview

Dr. Benjamin Blake is an Instructor of Medicine practicing at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Blake is active in the American College of Physicians and has participated in global health initiatives. His professional interests focus on immunology, autoimmunity, infectious diseases, and global health. He has an interest in the role of Type I interferon in Epstein-Barr Virus infection and the pathogenesis of lupus. In addition, he served as a Tri-Institute Stimulating Access to Research in Residency (StARR) Trainee at Weill Cornell Medicine, where he pursued translational immunology research. He was recently honored with election to Alpha Omega Alpha and the Robert C. Bryan Prize in Pathology for his contributions to academic medicine and research excellence.
