Columbia University Programs in Physical Therapy Announces the Establishment of the Dr. George J. Davies Endowed Lectureship
The Dr. George J. Davies Endowed Lectureship was established to honor the legacy of Dr. Davies and his commitment to advancing the profession of physical therapy through education, clinical excellence, and research. Funds from this endowment will support an annual lectureship designed to bring together Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students from Columbia University, other DPT program students, program alumni, clinical faculty, and licensed physical therapists from across the profession.
This distinguished lectureship will foster a culture of lifelong learning by engaging participants in thought-provoking discussions on contemporary issues, innovations, and evidence-based practices in physical therapy. In addition, it will provide valuable opportunities for networking, mentorship, and the development of potential research collaborations, strengthening connections across academic, clinical, and professional communities.
Through the generosity of this endowment, the lectureship will serve as an enduring platform to inspire future leaders, elevate professional practice, and advance the shared mission of improving human health through movement.
