In order to prepare for the ceremony, we need you to complete all of the steps below by Thursday, July 23, 2020.

1. Complete the student information form

By Thursday, July 23, 2020, complete and submit the student information form.

2. Upload a photo or 5 second video (without audio) of yourself

By Thursday, July 23, 2020, upload your photo or 5 second video (without audio) of yourself, as follows:
You have the choice to upload a photo/headshot or a 5-second video (without audio) of yourself. This file will be incorporated into the ceremony and will be displayed as your name is announced.
You may use use either your mobile device or computer to take a photo or record the 5-second video of yourself.  You will then save the file as follows: Lastname.Firstname and upload and share the file via OneDrive.
One drive is accessible by logging into Web Outlook with your CUIMC email account. Once you've logged in, select the "waffle"/app launcher icon in the upper left corner and select OneDrive from the list of apps that appear. Next, upload your file and be sure to follow prompts to share the file. Please be sure to share the file with cv2226@cumc.columbia.edu.
Click here for more information on how-to share files via OneDrive.
Photo and Video Recording Tips:
  • Smile, smile, and SMILE!
  • A solid colored shirt/blouse works best on camera.
  • Film or take a photo in a room with your windows shut and against a simple backdrop (plain wall, etc.), if possible.
  • Make sure you have decent lighting. Front lighting works best. Back lighting (lamp light or sunny window behind you) is not ideal.
  • Movement, signs and messages, and fun are encouraged.
  • Put your phone on airplane mode before shooting – this will help avoid any interruptions/sounds/notifications during your recording.
  • Film your video in portrait mode.
  • Position your camera lens straight at eye-level. Do not hold your phone lower than your head as this will result in an unflattering facial angle.
  • Do a couple of takes until you get a photo or video that you are comfortable sharing.

By Thursday, July 23, 2020, register to participate in your VP&S White Coat processional and ceremony.
