Tyler Wen '22: Gold Medalist to a Graduating Student in Recognition of their Interest in and Devotion to VP&S and its Alumni Association

Tyler Wen '22 was presented with the Gold Medal for Excellence in Clinical Medicine at the VP&S Alumni Reunion on May 14, 2022, in New York City.

Dr. Wen brought a wholehearted interest in emergency medicine, ultrasound, and medical education to his time at VP&S, where he was a Class of 2022 Social Chair and Co-president of the VP&S Club. He promoted a sense of belonging and community for his class through a variety of events, ranging from intimate group outings into NYC to full-scale medical school proms. As Emergency Medicine Interest Group Co-Leader, he coordinated workshops and events for EM-interested medical students, and closely worked with faculty in NYP's Emergency Medicine Department to design innovative educational programs. He also completed a SAEM-sponsored community outreach and educational project focused on treating homeless patients in the emergency department.
