Michel Sadelain Receives 2026 Ross Prize in Molecular Medicine

Michel Sadelain, MD, PhD, Director of the Columbia Initiative in Cell Engineering and Therapy, was selected by the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research to receive the 2026 Ross Prize in Molecular Medicine.

The award recognizes Dr. Sadelain’s pioneering contributions to CAR T-cell therapy and his foundational work in T cell engineering, which helped establish the field of cell-based medicine and contributed to the first FDA approvals of CAR T-cell therapies in 2017.

The Ross Prize was presented on June 11, 2026, during the 13th Annual Ross Prize Symposium in New York City.
