Dr. Lora Glass Named Division Director of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at CUIMC
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Lora Glass, MD, as the Division Director of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
Dr. Glass is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at CUMC and a recognized expert in ophthalmic plastic surgery, specializing in eyelid, eyebrow, tear production, and orbital tissue disorders in both children and adults. Her dedication to tailored medical and surgical solutions addressing functional and cosmetic concerns is exemplary.
Dr. Glass graduated Summa Cum Laude from Harvard College and received her medical degree from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She then served as a resident and chief resident in ophthalmology at Columbia University. After completing a fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at Harvard/Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Dr. Glass returned to Columbia as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Ophthalmology.
With over 80 publications and active leadership in the oculoplastics community, Dr. Glass's appointment reflects her exceptional contributions and commitment to advancing the field. Her roles as Residency Associate Program Director and Director of Medical Student Education highlight her commitment to shaping the future of ophthalmology education.
