U.S. News & World Report Methodology
The report determines the urology ranking by analyzing hospital performance using metrics that include patient outcomes and overall satisfaction, nurse staffing, use of advanced technology, and national reputation among board-certified urologists.
To determine a hospital’s score for a procedure like prostate cancer surgery, the report reviews data across criteria that include patient survival rates, the number of patients treated, and any cancer-specific hospital accreditations. Research has shown that hospitals with a high-performing score typically achieve better overall patient outcomes.
