Eden Brush

Eden is from Salt Lake City, UT and received her BS in biology with minors in chemistry and Spanish from the University of Oregon. In college, she was a biology peer advisor and vice president of a student-led international service leadership program. Eden also has experience as an adult grief support group facilitator, a summer camp counselor with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and working one-on-one with individuals with autism. Prior to graduate school, she was a genetic counseling assistant at Lineagen.

John is from Baltimore, MD and received his BA in molecular biology with a minor in geography from Colgate University and his Masters in Public Policy from Oregon State University. During college, he served as a peer counselor and residential advisor. He has experience as an EMT with a fire department in Baltimore and later in Northern and Eastern Nepal, and has worked as a research assistant in Trinidad & Tobago and Lake Placid, FL.

Diversity Scholar 

Kathleen is from Brighton, MA and received her BA in biology and a minor in public community service studies from Providence College. During college she studied abroad at the Danish Institute and was a Boston Marathon charity runner, raising funds for Boston Children’s Hospital. Kathleen has worked as a research coordinator for the All of Us Research Program at Massachusetts General Hospital/Brigham and Women’s Hospital where she founded the diversity, inclusion, antiracism and equity committee for personalized medicine research programs.

Maylie is from Marina del Rey, CA and received her BS in cell and developmental biology from the University of California Santa Barbara. During college, she volunteered in the birth center and mother/infant unit of a local hospital, was the artistic director for a Greek life organization, and offered trauma informed care for individuals experiencing homelessness. Prior to graduate school, Maylie worked as a genetic counseling assistant at the Hoag Health System and engaged in patient outreach and early risk assessment.

Kristen Kelly

Kristen is from Cortlandt, NY and received her BS in cell biology & molecular genetics with a double major in psychology from the University of Maryland. She was the president and co-founder of her college's Pre-Genetic Counseling Society and was also the vice president of the women’s club basketball team. Kristen has experience as a mentor for teenagers with sickle cell disease and as the family relations committee engagement captain for a student-run philanthropic organization.

Allie is from Brooklyn, NY and received her BA in international relations with a focus in politics, culture, and identity from Brown University. During college, she studied abroad in Buenos Aries. Allie participated with Teach for America where she taught middle school students in math, science and social studies. She has also worked as a project manager for a hospital system, a business strategy associate for a consulting agency, and as a marketing consultant and account strategist at Google. Allie is proficient in Spanish.

Noelle Lynch

Noelle is from Shakopee, MN and received her BS in genetics, cell biology and development from the University of Minnesota. During college, she was involved in her campus’s outdoor club and environmental student association. She was also an undergraduate student researcher, statistics tutor, and women in STEM careers mentor. Noelle has experience as a civilian mental health liaison for the Twin Cities Air Force and has worked with her local disability resource center.

Sophie is from Northern Virginia and received her BS in psychology with a double major in biology from the University of Virginia. She plays piccolo and was a drill instructor for the UVA marching band during college. Sophie was active on her campus as a volunteer at the Women’s Center and as a psychology department representative. She also worked in her community as a volunteer with Adopt-A-Grandparent and Autism Allies. Sophie is proficienct in French.

Mythili is from Gainesville, FL and received her BS in microbiology and cell science with a minor in bioinformatics from the University of Florida. Prior to graduate school, she worked as a postbac research fellow at the NIH in the neuro-oncology branch and was a wedding planning assistant. Mythili has experience as an academic partner mentoring underrepresented high school students and as a patient advocacy volunteer for Chrysalis Initiative. Mythili is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi.

Traevia is from Ashburn, VA and received her BS in public health with minors in biology and psychology from Shenandoah University. During college, she was a four-year member and captain of the women’s varsity soccer team and President of the Hornets RED (Racial, Equity, Diversity) Team. Traevia was also a Girls on the Run intern, mentoring girls on life skills and running techniques. She has volunteer experience with the Winchester Area Temporary Thermal Shelter and Special Olympics. Prior to graduate school, Traevia worked as a genetic counseling assistant at the Seattle Sperm Bank.

Hannah Reich

Hannah is from New York City, NY and received her BA in cognitive science with a minor in global health studies from Northwestern University. During college, she studied abroad in Israel and South Africa. Hannah has experience as an election-poll worker, NYC marathon volunteer, and serving with Meals on Wheels NYC. She has worked as a research assistant in Psychiatry at Cornell and a cancer genetic counseling assistant at Columbia University. Hannah is fluent in Hebrew.

Kenzie is from Salt Lake City, UT and received her BS in genetics, genomics, and biotechnology from Brigham Young University. Prior to college, she was a service volunteer in Argentina for almost 2 years. She is a Board member of the GC Prospective Student Network and a patient/family outreach volunteer for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Kenzie has served as a refugee youth mentor and is a Spanish interpreter at a free clinic. Prior to graduate school, she worked as a clinical assistant at Natera. Kenzie is fluent in Spanish.
