CICET Cell Therapy Fellowship
The CICET Cell Therapy Fellowship is a multidisciplinary clinical training program established with the support of AstraZeneca. The fellowship is designed to train physician-scientists in the clinical application, management, and advancement of cell therapies beyond oncology, with a focus on immune-mediated diseases.
This three-year fellowship provides immersive, hands-on training in the end-to-end clinical care of patients receiving cell therapies, including patient evaluation, treatment planning, inpatient and outpatient management, and long-term follow-up. Fellows gain expertise in the recognition and management of therapy-related toxicities and work closely within multidisciplinary clinical and research teams.
Fellows participate in active clinical trials, contribute to translational and clinical research projects, and engage in CICET-led educational programming, including the CICET Cell Therapy Seminar Series and specialized coursework in cell engineering and CAR-T therapy. The fellowship emphasizes mentorship, career development, and scholarly output, with opportunities for publication and presentation at national and international scientific meetings.
CICET currently offers dedicated fellowship tracks in Neurology and Rheumatology, reflecting the expanding application of cell therapies in complex immune-mediated diseases across specialties.
Through this program, CICET aims to train a new generation of clinical leaders with deep expertise in cell therapy, equipped to advance innovative treatments for patients with complex immune-mediated diseases.
Fellowship appointments are made through internal institutional processes coordinated by CICET.
