  • Postdoctoral Research Scientist (IPSC) #161623

The Postdoctoral Research Scientist, under the mentorship of Drs. Joseph Gogos and Steven Kushner, will establish and lead a research program focused on studying human iPSC-derived neurons and brain organoids, as well as mouse brain xenotransplantation models to investigate psychiatric diseases. Using cutting-edge approaches—including calcium and voltage imaging, single-cell RNA sequencing, chromatin profiling, in vivo imaging, and electrophysiology in awake behaving mice—the ultimate goal is to facilitate translational efforts and develop targeted treatments.   • Postdoctoral Research Scientist (Mouse Model) #161621

The Postdoctoral Research Scientist, under the mentorship of Drs. Joseph Gogos and Steven Kushner, will establish and lead a research program that aims to study the development, organization and function of neural circuits in mouse models of psychiatric disorders using advanced molecular, cellular and brain imaging methods with the ultimate goal to facilitate translational efforts and develop new targeted treatments.   • Postdoctoral Research Scientist (In Vivo) #161620

A Postdoctoral Research Scientist position is available in the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Center for Precision Psychiatry & Mental Health and the Zuckerman Institute, to study in vivo synaptic, cellular, and molecular mechanisms of learning and memory deficits in mouse models of neuropsychiatric disorders with the ultimate goal to facilitate translational efforts and develop new targeted treatments. Under the mentorship of Drs. Joseph Gogos and Steven Kushner, the successful candidate will join a leading group of researchers using cutting-edge optical microscopy (ie.,  ultrafast, random access 3-dimensional acousto-optical microscopy with real-time motion correction) in combination with the latest generation of genetically encoded voltage, calcium, and neurotransmitter sensors to dissect the organization and function of hippocampal and cortical circuits during spatial and episodic learning. Apply Here.
