The EQUIP Center for LHS Science invites you to participate in a special seminar featuring two esteemed chief nursing executives from large, innovative health systems, who will share their perspectives on the practical implementation of Learning Health Systems and key priorities shaping the future of healthcare delivery and research.

Wilhelmina M. Manzano, MA, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN is Group Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive for NewYork-Presbyterian. As System Chief Nursing Executive, she leads the Department of Nursing and sets the vision and strategic direction for nursing across NYP. Previously, Ms. Manzano also served as Chief Operating Officer, Perioperative Services at NYP, Chief Quality Officer at NYP, and Chief Operating Officer for NYP/Allen Hospital. Prior to joining NYP in 1998, she held various leadership roles at several New York area hospitals.
Maureen Scanlan, MSN, RN, NEA-BC is Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive at Montefiore Einstein where she oversees all aspects of the professional practice of nursing. In her three decades there, Ms. Scanlan started as a bedside staff nurse and has held positions of progressive leadership responsibilities prior to her appointment as Senior Vice President of Nursing. She led the Medical Center’s effort to drive patient safety through the utilization of evidence-based best practice models. She was the Principal Investigator on a multicenter study focusing on reduction of patient falls which resulted in sustained improvement in patient safety and positioned Montefiore Einstein as a national leader in quality.
