About Us

We are dedicated to the education, research, and clinical practice of palliative care by addressing quality of life improvements and our patients and their families physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.  Our team is comprised of interdisciplinary professionals, including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and researchers, working together to advance the field of palliative care. We believe we play an important role in advancing the field of palliative care, improving patient outcomes, and ensuring that healthcare professionals are trained to provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families facing serious or chronic illness.

Our primary goals are to:

  • Educate healthcare professionals by providing training to healthcare professionals, including medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as practicing clinicians. This includes teaching communication techniques and principles related to palliative care.
  • Conducts research to advance the field of palliative care, improve patient outcomes, and inform clinical practice with quality improvement initiatives.  
  • Provide exceptional clinical care to our patients with serious illness or end-of-life care needs. This may include inpatient consultation, outpatient visits, and home-based care.
  • Advocate for the integration of palliative care into mainstream healthcare and promotes public awareness of the benefits of palliative care.
