About Us

The Center for Innovation in Imaging Biomarkers and Integrated Diagnostics (CIMBID) is a multidisciplinary center based in the Department of Radiology of the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons (VP&S). This vibrant scientific ecosystem brings together a broad range expertise with a breadth of cross-campus initiatives and collaborations.
Our scientific partners include Columbia Engineering, the Mailman School of Public Health, the Data Science Institute (DSI), and the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC). We also foster strong translational alignments with NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) Hospital and leading industry partners.
Mission
CIMBID focuses on leveraging novel artificial intelligence (AI) approaches in conjunction with cutting-edge biomedical imaging technologies and multi-modal biomarkers to transform personalized medicine. Our activities span innovative research, education, and clinical translation. From developing next-generation AI approaches to engaging trainees across levels, and responsibly translating new technologies into the clinic, we aim to advance disease prevention, detection, and treatment.
