VP&S Office for Women and Diverse Faculty

The VP&S Office for Women and Diverse Faculty was formed in 2020 as a result of the 2019 Report and Recommendations from the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons Dean’s Advisory Committees for Women Faculty and CUIMC Faculty Diversity, and Inclusion. The aim of this office is to provide targeted outreach and resources to faculty including mentorship, career guidance, and coaching for women and diverse faculty across various career paths. Additionally, the office works to engage the larger VP&S community on gender and diversity related issues and policies.

The office has appointed four advisory deans for women faculty and joined the Morningside campus in the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine's (NASEM) Action Collaborative on Preventing Sexual Harassment in Higher Education focusing on examining institutional cultures and climates and working together to collectively develop strategies to improve organizational climate/culture at CUIMC and beyond.

Additional programming offered throughout the year, including mentoring groups and special lectures, can be found here.
