Postdoctoral position: Stemness control in pluripotent and cancer cells

A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Jianlong Wang, who is affiliated with the Columbia Center for Human Development (CCHD), Columbia Stem Cell Initiative (CSCI), and Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC) at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York. The current project focuses on understanding the functional contribution of several recently identified stemness factors in the Wang laboratory, including transcriptional factors, epigenetic regulators, and RNA-binding proteins, to pluripotency, early development, and tumorigenesis. Trainees will therefore be exposed in-depth to stem cell and developmental biology as well as cancer biology. Relevant/preferred skills include stem/cancer cell culture, DNA/RNA epigenetics, gene regulation, and mouse genetics. Candidates (M.D., Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D.) with a record of publications and demonstrated expertise in stem cell and cancer biology are encouraged to apply.

Please send the CV and contact information of three references to Dr. Jianlong Wang; email: jw3925@cumc.columbia.edu.
